8101 Glenbrook was purchased in September 2006 and is currently held in leased fee, subject to a long-term ground lease.  The property is located in downtown Bethesda in the highly sought after Woodmont Triangle area.  The AABB, a 501(c)3 responsible for insuring the efficacy of the nation’s blood supply is the lead tenant in the building.  The two story building was designed to allow for expansion for an additional by-right expansion of approximately 14,800 sf of office or multifamily overlooking a park. The Maven Group is negotiating a ground lease extension to more than fifty (50) years which, if successful, will result in construction of the expansion area and the installation of high-efficiency solar panels to insure an uninterruptible power supply for the critical database needs of AABB.
